This award-winning project is all about space and volume.
This small house is organized as a series of volumes nested one inside the other. A restrained palette of materials and extraordinary workmanship lead the eye to an appreciation of the house and its relationship to the earth. The physical center of the house is a meditation chamber that is suspended from the roof and is accessible by a stainless steel alternating tread stair.
