The Washington Youth Garden is a horticultural education nonprofit operating out of the National Arboretum.

After years of operating their programs out of an old catering tent, the organization received support from a local foundation to build a new pavilion. We joint ventured with Loudon Contracting to build a structure designed by Studio MB that serves as a teaching tool illustrating how buildings work with the environment. The pavilion has an inverted roof for rainwater capture and uses simple materials that harken back to its agricultural roots.
