The house had originally been designed by a noted architect, but had undergone a series of additions that had muddied its appeal.
Working with HapstakDemetriou+, we opened up and expanded the house while blurring boundaries between the interior and the exterior. The resulting space is one that both recedes and embraces the house’s existing character while letting the addition soar beyond.
